Idle-free Surveillance and Observation
Many governmental vehicles need on-board power over several days and weeks to supply on-board electronic devices used, e.g. instruments for capturing images or audio files, or for processing data to command control vehicles or recording devices.
Power demand: Between 15 W (single digital camera) and 150 W (multi-channel video processing and transmission including IR lighting)
Autonomy demand: Ranging from 10 hours and full one-day shifts to up to 12 weeks for covert surveillance operations
Areas of Application:
Border patrol, customs, command and control vehicles, covert surveillance, etc.
Long autonomy is needed to avoid having to start the engine for recharging the batteries, thus ensuring positive mission results of undercover operations, as well as flexibility and safety for the operators of the equipment. The energy source has to fit in a standard passenger car, without producing signature.
Up to two EFOY Pro fuel cells are directly connected to the on-board battery, charging it on demand and fully automatically. Electronic devices are connected to the on-board battery, which supplies 12 V DC and if necessary 230 V AC current (via an inverter).
